Tile repair in All Saints

Tile repair at your home in All Saints

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We repair the tile in place, so you don’t need to find a spare. If you are dealing with drill holes from removed fittings and chips from dropped pans and tools, we can usually put it right, on natural stone & granite, ceramic tiles and marble alike.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in All Saints and across Greater Manchester. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One picture of the whole tiled area

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What we can’t put right

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Marble

How the visit works

There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

How to prepare

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Getting a price
