Bath re-enamelling at your home in Brington
Cast iron, steel, acrylic, roll-top and period baths can all be resurfaced. The finish is sprayed on in several coats over a bonding primer, once the bath has been cleaned, repaired and prepared. Typical jobs include lots of chips and rust spots and an old resurfacing that’s failing, across basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and pressed steel baths.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

When to call us in Brington
Previous coatings can fail too, lifting by the plughole or blistering. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.
The most common problems we are called about are:
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- A coating lifting around the plughole

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Brington: your questions answered
What information do you need?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Is there a smell?
Yes, while we’re applying the finish. We set up ventilation and the smell fades as it cures.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Do you need to take the bath out?
Not at all. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room protected and ventilated.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Can tenants book a repair?
We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
Generally, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
What we do, step by step
We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a full day, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Advice
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing gives the bath a new finish without moving it. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why us?
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- No extra charge for your area
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
- Colour-matched on site

Different materials, different repairs
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- A bath split right through the body
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
