Bath Re-enamelling in Brockdish
Bath re-enamelling across Brockdish and nearby, done in a single visit in most cases and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A coloured bath you want in white
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it

Why repair rather than replace?
There are times replacing is better: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the whole room anyway. In most other cases, resurfacing is the better choice. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

About our bath re-enamelling in Brockdish
Cast iron, steel, acrylic, roll-top and period baths can all be resurfaced. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. Whether it’s enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough and a coloured bath you want in white, we can generally put it right.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we have gone.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, once any rust has been treated. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Brockdish
Do you cover the whole of Suffolk?
We work UK-wide, so Brockdish is covered. Prices don’t change with location.
Do I need to be at home?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
What happens after I send pictures?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, generally with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
What do you need from me?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Does the bath have to be removed?
Not at all. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.
Honest limits
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Holes rusted through the metal
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, especially in hard water areas, to stop limescale building up.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It just wears the enamel further.
The process
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which typically takes most of the day. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- The bath is left to cure and can typically be used the next day.
Before we arrive
- Make sure the area is dry
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Getting a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.

What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Brockdish. What changes the price is:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many items we do on one visit
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The type of damage
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
You can take the pictures on your phone. Ensure they show:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The material, if you know it
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
