Repair or replace in Bunny?
A replacement often means several trades over several days. Resurfacing takes one technician and typically a day, with the bath back in use the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

About our bath re-enamelling in Bunny
We do not move the bath, so your taps, tiles and plumbing are left alone. Most baths are done in one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. Our repair technicians work on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and pressed steel baths, and people most often call us about wear marks under the taps and a peeling or bubbling previous coating.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

What we cannot put right
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
- A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

The process
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes a full day.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- The bath is left to cure and can usually be used the following day.

Advice
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Bunny. The price depends on:
- The material and finish
- The colour and finish to match
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Access to the area
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Getting a price from pictures
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A picture taken from further back
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your NG11 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Can I fix it myself?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Bunny
Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use dull the surface, typically first under the taps and around the waste.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- An outdated colour you’d like to change
- An old resurfacing that is failing
What to look for in a quote
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- Who will actually do the work
- How long it needs to cure
- How changes to the job are handled

Keeping it looking good
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Store bottles off the bath
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
The first few days matter most: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
Bunny questions
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
What information do you need?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Do you cover Bunny?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Bunny. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Are there extra charges for Bunny?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Nottingham.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
