Need bath re-enamelling in Chirton?

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Chirton

After re-enamelling, the bath has a smooth, glossy, new-looking surface, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. Our technicians work on basins & shower trays, pressed steel baths and acrylic baths, and the jobs we see most are wear marks under the taps and a period or roll-top bath worth keeping.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Chirton and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Chirton. The price reflects:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • What the surface is made of

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Any details about the material
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can price the job without visiting.

All of Wiltshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Can you do the outside of a roll-top?

Yes. Inside and out if you’d like.

What we are called out for in Chirton

In hard water areas, limescale and the cleaning it needs wear enamel faster, and gritty cleaners are the worst culprits.

Customers typically contact us about:

  • Several chips and rust patches
  • A coating lifting around the plughole
  • Stains that won’t shift
  • A dull, rough surface that will not come clean

What your quote should include

  • When it can be used again
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Who will actually do the work
  • What prep work is covered

Choosing a repair company

Different materials, different repairs

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
  • Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
  • A bath split right through the body

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Cast iron baths
  • Acrylic baths

How the visit works

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
  4. We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Preparing for the visit

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Keeping it looking good

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Do not leave a chip unrepaired
  • Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish

The first few days matter most: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.

Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
