Bath Re-enamelling for Claxby homes
Bath re-enamelling across Claxby and nearby, usually in one visit and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating

Looking after it afterwards
Nothing complicated is needed:
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Wash away dyes and oils after use
- Store bottles off the bath
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and do not leave bottles or razors standing on the surface.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
Bath re-enamelling in Claxby without replacing anything
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. Our technicians work on basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and Victorian roll-tops, and people most often call us about an outdated colour you’d like to change and staining under the taps and around the waste.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, using a system that bonds to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It normally takes most of the day, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s usually ready the next day.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let the surface dry out before the visit

Repair or replace: which is better?
Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Resurfacing in place avoids that entirely. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book.
What you get with us
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Work done at your home or business
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Access to the area
- How much damage there is
- How many items we do on one visit
- The type of damage
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Quotes from your photos
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any details about the material
- One picture of the entire bath
Email us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Claxby, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
Questions from Claxby
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Does re-enamelling smell?
Yes, while we are applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
How long is the bath unusable?
One day for most baths and can be used the day after. We will confirm timings when we quote.
Do you cover the whole of Lincolnshire?
Across the UK, and that includes Claxby. Prices do not change with location.
What happens next?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
When a repair is not the answer
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
