Bath re-enamelling in Croxteth, done in place
After re-enamelling, the bath has a smooth, glossy, new-looking surface, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. We’re often asked to fix brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, across basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and pressed steel baths.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

What else we do in Croxteth
For landlords and businesses
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Liverpool and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Croxteth: your questions answered
Do I need to be at home?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
Will there be fumes?
Some odour is normal while we spray, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It fades as the coating cures.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.
What do you need from me?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787.
Can you price it without visiting?
Normally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes. Inside and out.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- Doing more than one item at once
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Something in shot to show the size
- A photo taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
What happens on the day
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job typically takes a full day. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
Getting a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Honest limits
A repair is not right for every job, including:
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
Why repair rather than replace?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
What you get with us
- We leave the room as we found it
- A fixed quote before you book
- Same prices wherever you are
- Normally one visit, start to finish

Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Have chips seen to early
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
