Bath Re-enamelling for Deep Dale homes
Problem with your bath in Deep Dale? We put it right where it is, mix the colour on the day and guarantee the work for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How much damage there is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Access to the area
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
How to get a fixed price
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One picture of the whole bath
For a price in Deep Dale, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Bath re-enamelling in Deep Dale, done in place
A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It’s ideal if you like your bathroom but not the state of the bath. We regularly repair Victorian roll-tops, basins & shower trays and acrylic baths, and the jobs we see most are a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and chips and rust in more than one place.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Deep Dale: your questions answered
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
How long is the bath unusable?
One day for most baths and can be used the day after. We’ll confirm timings when we quote.
Does re-enamelling smell?
Yes, while we’re applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Can a failed resurfacing be redone?
Usually, yes. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Mention it when you send photos.
Do you need to take the bath out?
Not at all. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Do you cover Deep Dale?
We do. We send a technician to Deep Dale for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Repairing versus replacing in Deep Dale
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is generally much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s also far quicker. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Repairs by material
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
When we’d advise against a repair
A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- A bath that is rusted through
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Looking after it afterwards
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Have chips seen to early
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Repair dripping taps early
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, don’t pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
The process
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes the best part of a day, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
How to prepare
- Clear the area around the damage
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
How to get a price
