Bath Re-enamelling for Evershot homes
We travel to Evershot for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- Several chips and rust patches

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Evershot?
Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, typically first under the taps and around the waste.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Staining under the taps and around the waste
- Enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough
- A roll-top that is seen better days
- Chips and rust in more than one place
What your quote should include
- Whether the price covers travel
- What happens if they find more damage
- What protection goes down before work starts
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Evershot
When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, re-enamelling is generally the most cost-effective option. There is no removal, plumbing or tiling involved. If you are dealing with a bath in a colour that no longer suits and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, we can typically put it right, on pressed steel baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays alike.
All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Dorset.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Evershot: your questions answered
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
Do you cover the whole of Dorset?
The whole UK, including all of Dorset. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
In most cases. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

Should you replace it?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is typically much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s much quicker too. Prices start from £350. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Repair dripping taps early
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Wash away dyes and oils after use
Wipe the bath dry after use where you can, particularly with hard water, and rinse away any product left on the surface.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
What a repair cannot fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
How the visit works
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to most of the day.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
How to get a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
