What bath re-enamelling costs
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How hard the colour is to match
- Doing more than one item at once
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Getting a price from photos
You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Where you are, by postcode
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.
About our bath re-enamelling in Great Barrow
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. Common call-outs are for a period or roll-top bath worth keeping and wear marks under the taps, in cast iron baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Should you replace it?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is normally much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s also far quicker. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to look after the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs right away
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, especially in hard water areas, so limescale can’t build up.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.
Landlord and trade work in Great Barrow
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

- A coating lifting around the plughole

Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
How it works
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes the best part of a day. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let the surface dry out before the visit

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Great Barrow
Does re-enamelling smell?
Some odour is normal while we spray, so we ventilate the room. It fades as the coating cures.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes, roll-tops are a big part of our work. The inside is resurfaced, and we can refinish the outside as well.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You’ll get a fixed figure before booking.
Will there be a smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.
