Bath re-enamelling at your home in Great Yarmouth
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. If you’re dealing with an original cast iron bath that needs restoring and an old resurfacing that’s failing, we can help.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Great Yarmouth
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

What else we do in Great Yarmouth
Do you need bath re-enamelling in Great Yarmouth?
By the time a bath is a few decades old, it may have a mix of issues: worn patches, chips, rust spots and stains. Re-enamelling deals with all of them in one go.
Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- Stains that won’t shift
- A coloured bath you want in white
Questions to ask before booking
- When it can be used again
- How to look after the finish
- How changes to the job are handled
- What protection goes down before work starts
Honest limits
We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Keeping it looking good
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, especially in hard water areas, so limescale can’t build up.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
How it works
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes most of the day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- The bath is left to cure and can usually be used the next day.
Before we arrive
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
How to get a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Questions from Great Yarmouth
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Do you resurface freestanding baths?
Yes, often. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.
Will the bath be moved?
No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room masked and ventilated.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes, we do this regularly. Removing the old finish takes extra time, which we include in the price.
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Access to the area
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Details of any past repairs
- The material, if you know it
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- Something in shot to show the size
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.
