Need bath re-enamelling in Inkford?

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Bath re-enamelling in Inkford without replacing anything

After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, and we take our time over it. Whether it’s stains that won’t shift and an outdated colour you’d like to change, we can help.

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

Why repair rather than replace?

If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is generally much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s also far quicker. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Why us?

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • A fixed quote before you book

Looking after it afterwards

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Get any chip repaired quickly
  • Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
  • Keep suction mats out of the bath
  • Do not use the bath until it has fully cured

Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Repair dripping taps promptly.

If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Inkford. The price comes down to:

  • How many areas need work
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The type of damage

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from photos

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Inkford

Do you need to take the bath out?

No. We resurface it in place, so nothing else is disturbed.

Do you cover Inkford?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Inkford from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Does re-enamelling smell?

A little, during the work. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.

Can you quote from photos?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes most of the day, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Inkford

Enamel’s shine is only skin deep, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • Stains that will not shift
  • Lots of chips and rust spots
  • Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough

Questions to ask before you book

  • If travel is included in the price
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Choosing a repair company

When a repair isn’t the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Holes rusted through the metal
  • Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
  • Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
