What a repair cannot fix
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- Holes rusted through the metal
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
Bath re-enamelling in Landore without replacing anything
Re-enamelling works especially well on cast iron and steel, and acrylic baths can be resurfaced too. You end up with a smooth, glossy surface. We’re frequently asked to fix a period or roll-top bath worth keeping and stains that won’t shift, across cast iron baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Landore and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Landore. The price comes down to:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The material
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- One picture of the whole bath
- Any details about the material
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Send us photos of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Landore, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
FAQs for Landore
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
How soon can you come?
We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Work for landlords and builders
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll handle the rest.
Should you replace it?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and days without a bathroom. Re-enamelling renews the whole surface with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What happens on the day
Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes most of the day, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- The bath is left to cure and can typically be used the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
Getting a price
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can price the job.
Related advice
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Repair dripping taps early
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Have chips seen to early
Treat the new finish gently at first: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further and makes resurfacing more work.
