Bath re-enamelling in Marston Trussell without replacing anything
When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, resurfacing is normally the best value. It avoids removal, plumbing and re-tiling. Whether it’s a roll-top that’s seen better days and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, we can help.
You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Prices and what affects them
Resurfacing from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Marston Trussell. The price comes down to:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Doing more than one item at once
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:
- One picture of the entire bath
- Where you are, by postcode
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We’ll say right away whether it can be repaired.
Honest limits
A repair is not right for every job, including:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- A bath split right through the body
- Steel that has corroded right through
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on

Should you replace it?
For a sound bath, resurfacing costs far less than replacement, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s much quicker too. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Marston Trussell: your questions answered
How long does re-enamelling last?
That depends on preparation and how the bath is treated. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and it’s guaranteed for a year.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
What information do you need?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
How much does bath re-enamelling cost in Marston Trussell?
Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item and your postcode.
Can pets and children be at home?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
What areas do you cover?
All of Northamptonshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Will there be fumes?
A little, during the work. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
How the visit works
You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It typically takes most of the day, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Let us know about parking or access
- Have a window or extractor fan available

Advice
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we pay close attention there.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Never use suction bath mats
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Repair dripping taps early
The first few days matter most: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.
