Need bath re-enamelling in Morda?

Should I try a DIY kit first?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Bath re-enamelling in Morda, done in place

Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. If you are dealing with worn patches where water runs and sits and brown or grey marks that don’t clean off, we can help, on pressed steel baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths alike.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Looking after it afterwards

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
  • Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
  • Have chips seen to early
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly

Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.

Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes a full day, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

When a repair is not the answer

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
  • A bath that’s rusted through
  • Acrylic that moves when you stand in it

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Acrylic baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops

What affects the price in Morda

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any details about the material
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Morda: your questions answered

Can you quote from photos?

Normally, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Do you come to Morda?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Morda and the rest of Shropshire. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Does re-enamelling smell?

Some odour is normal while we spray, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It fades as the coating cures.

Are there extra charges for Morda?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Why repair rather than replace?

If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is usually much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s also far quicker. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Work done at your home or business
  • One visit for most repairs
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • One price list for the whole UK

See our pricing or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Morda?

Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, starting where water runs and sits.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
  • A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
  • A peeling or bubbling previous coating
  • Lots of chips and rust spots

What your quote should include

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
