Bath Re-enamelling for Oval homes
We travel to Oval for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Brown or grey marks that do not clean off
- Enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough

Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.
Bath re-enamelling in Oval, done in place
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, once the bath has been cleaned, repaired and prepared. We’re often asked to fix a coating lifting around the plughole and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, on pressed steel baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee.

- Several chips and rust patches
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Brown or grey marks that do not clean off
What to look for in a quote
- How your room will be protected
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
Other services in Oval
Work for landlords and builders
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
Should you replace it?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and generally a day, and the bath is usable the day after. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Have chips seen to early
- Repair dripping taps early
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs right away
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
What affects the price in Oval
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Oval. What changes the price is:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The material and finish
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Any details about the material
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
