Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Park, Merthyr Tydfil
Bath re-enamelling across Park and nearby, usually in one visit.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating

What we can’t put right
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- A metal bath with a through crack
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Park
Re-enamelling works especially well on cast iron and steel, and acrylic baths can be resurfaced too. You end up with a smooth, glossy surface. Whether it’s a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and chips and rust in more than one place, we can typically put it right, on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and acrylic baths alike.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

What affects the price in Park
Prices start from £350. There is no area surcharge for Park. What changes the price is:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- What kind of damage it is
- What the surface is made of
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Send photos for a quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- Natural light rather than flash
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and no obligation.
Questions from Park
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
What happens next?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, normally with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
How it works
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes most of the day. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the day after.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Let us know about parking or access
- Open a window if you can

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Advice
Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Should you replace it?
If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is usually much cheaper than replacing it, when you count removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating. It’s much quicker too. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
