Bath re-enamelling in Ruchazie

How we price bath re-enamelling

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Ruchazie. The price comes down to:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage
  • The material

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • The material, if you know it
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A picture taken from further back

For a price in Ruchazie, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Bath re-enamelling in Ruchazie, done in place

Resurfacing renews the whole surface of the bath without a refit. It’s the answer when the entire bath is tired rather than one spot. We work on cast iron baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays, and people most frequently call us about a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean and several chips and rust patches.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Ruchazie

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Can you re-enamel a roll-top bath?

Yes. Inside and out if you’d like.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote with dates.

Can you price it without visiting?

Typically, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Pressed steel

Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.

When a repair is not the answer

It helps to know what we cannot do:

  • A bath that is rusted through
  • Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Acrylic baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Pressed steel baths

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a cast iron bath is a big job: they’re heavy, frequently need breaking up, and a new one isn’t cheap. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Why us?

  • A fixed quote before booking
  • No need to remove anything
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

Take a look at our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What happens on the day

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
  2. The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
  3. We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
  4. Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know about parking or access

How to get a price

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your G33 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

Advice

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

Keeping it looking good

How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Store bottles off the bath
  • Keep suction mats out of the bath
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured

Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Resurfacing sooner means less repair work first.

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
