Bath re-enamelling in Sennen Cove without replacing anything
Most baths are re-enamelled in a day, and you can use the bath the next day. Nothing is disconnected or removed. Our repair technicians work on pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops, and common reasons people get in touch are several chips and rust patches and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Sennen Cove and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Re-enamelling is one technician, generally one day, and the bath is usable the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Why book with us

- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:
- What the surface is made of
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The colour and finish to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
Getting a price from pictures
Two or three clear pictures are usually enough. It helps if you send:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Upload photos of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your TR19 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
The process
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a full day. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Honest limits
We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
- Holes rusted through the metal
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

What we are called out for in Sennen Cove
Enamel wears gradually. Abrasive cleaners, limescale and years of use wear the gloss away, typically first under the taps and around the waste.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring

Common questions in Sennen Cove
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Will there be fumes?
There is some smell while the coating is applied, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It clears as the finish cures.
Can a failed resurfacing be redone?
Yes. Removing the old finish takes extra time, which we include in the price.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, most people go for white. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
Is my repair covered?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Will there be a smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It clears as the materials cure.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Looking after it afterwards
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Repair dripping taps early
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
- Store bottles off the bath
Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, to stop limescale building up.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further.
What else we do in Sennen Cove
Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
