Bath re-enamelling in St Harmon without replacing anything
We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, so we do not cut corners on it. If you’re dealing with wear marks under the taps and a coloured bath you want in white, we can help, on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and cast iron baths alike.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including St Harmon. The price reflects:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- What the surface is made of
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Details of any past repairs
- The material, if you know it
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Repairing versus replacing in St Harmon
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing gives the bath a new finish without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

St Harmon questions
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Do you cover St Harmon?
We do. Repair technicians travel to St Harmon from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
How long will the bath be out of use?
Usually one day, with the bath ready the day after. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.
Will there be fumes?
A little, during the work. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Does the bath have to be removed?
No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room masked and ventilated.
How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. From then on, avoid abrasives and suction mats.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
What we cannot put right
We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
- A metal bath with a through crack
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
