Bath re-enamelling at your home in Gwystre
We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, so we do not cut corners on it. Whether it’s an original cast iron bath that needs restoring and an old resurfacing that’s failing, we can help.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back.

Repair or replace in Gwystre?
Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: a cracked-through bath, a change of size or shape, or a full refit. In most other cases, resurfacing is the better choice. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- No need to remove anything
- Fixed prices from your pictures
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- No extra charge for your area

When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair is not right for every job, including:
- A bath split right through the body
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Victorian roll-tops
Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- The material
- How much damage there is
- The type of damage
- Access to the area
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send photos for a quote
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A photo taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
If you’re in Gwystre and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
What we’re called out for in Gwystre
A dull surface stains and holds dirt, and cleaning harder only makes it worse. At that stage, resurfacing is the fix.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Brown or grey marks that do not clean off
- Several chips and rust patches
- Wear marks under the taps
- Enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough
Comparing quotes
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- How to care for the finish
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.

What else we do in Gwystre
The process
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Plan for most of the day. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the following day.
Before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
Getting a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Gwystre: your questions answered
Do you come to Gwystre?
We do. We send a technician to Gwystre for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Will the bath be moved?
Not at all. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room masked and ventilated.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Usually, yes. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Gwystre use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
