Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Swinford, Leicestershire
We travel to Swinford for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- Brown or grey marks that don’t clean off

Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.
Bath re-enamelling in Swinford without replacing anything
We don’t move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. Most baths are done in one visit, and can be used again the next day. We work on pressed steel baths, cast iron baths and basins & shower trays, and the jobs we see most are a bath in a colour that no longer suits and stains that won’t shift.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

For landlords and businesses
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.

When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Store bottles off the bath
- Repair dripping taps early
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
Dry the bath after use if possible, especially in hard water areas, and rinse away any product left on the surface.
Do not try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It just wears the enamel further.
Questions from Swinford
Does the bath have to be removed?
No, it stays where it is. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room masked and ventilated.
Do you work in Swinford?
Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Swinford from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send pictures.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Swinford. The price depends on:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Getting a price from photos
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Should you replace it?
A new bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Re-enamelling gives the bath a new finish with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why book with us
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- No extra charge for your area
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- Most jobs done in one visit
See our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
The process
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes the best part of a day. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- Once cured, normally by the day after, the bath is ready.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
How to get a price
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
