Bath Re-enamelling in Whitleigh
Damaged bath in Whitleigh? We repair it in place, match it on site and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
- Wear marks under the taps

What we cannot put right
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Problems we can’t see until an old finish comes off
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
Bath re-enamelling in Whitleigh without replacing anything
Resurfacing renews the entire surface of the bath without taking anything out. It’s the answer when the entire bath is tired rather than one spot. Common call-outs are for brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and a roll-top that’s seen better days, on pressed steel baths, cast iron baths and Victorian roll-tops.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Repairing versus replacing in Whitleigh
Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: a cracked-through bath, a change of size or shape, or a full refit. Otherwise, resurfacing generally wins. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

What affects the price in Whitleigh
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
- What kind of damage it is
- What the surface is made of
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
How to get a fixed quote
You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- The material, if you know it
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Something in shot to show the size
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
The process
Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for the best part of a day from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Whitleigh questions
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Does re-enamelling smell?
Some odour is normal while we spray, so we ventilate the room. It fades as the coating cures.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes. Stripping the old coating adds time, so it’s reflected in the quote.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
How to care for the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Wash away dyes and oils after use
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
