Bath re-enamelling in Willowbrae, done in place
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, once the bath has been cleaned, repaired and prepared. We regularly repair basins & shower trays, pressed steel baths and acrylic baths, and people most often call us about wear marks under the taps and a coloured bath you want in white.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll sort it.

What we can’t put right
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:
- An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot

Common problems we fix in Willowbrae
Hard water speeds up the wear, and abrasive cleaners do the most damage.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- Several chips and rust patches
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Worn patches where water runs and sits
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
What your quote should include
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- What happens if they find more damage
- What protection goes down before work starts
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
What affects the price in Willowbrae
Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:
- How much damage there is
- Access to the area
- The type of damage
- The colour and finish to match
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- One picture of the entire bath
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any details about the material
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Email us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Willowbrae, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Willowbrae: your questions answered
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.
Does re-enamelling smell?
A little, during the work. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
How do I book?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
Will the bath be moved?
Not at all. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Should you replace it?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, resurfacing is the simplest answer. Nothing else is disturbed. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Generally one visit, start to finish
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
