Bath re-enamelling in Wincle without replacing anything
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. Whether it’s a peeling or bubbling previous coating and a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean, we can typically put it right.
All our work comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Cheshire East.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

What a repair can’t fix
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- A metal bath with a through crack
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Victorian roll-tops
- Acrylic baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
Questions from Wincle
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire UK, including Wincle and the rest of Cheshire East. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll offer you dates.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
Will the new finish last?
It depends on preparation, use and care. Properly prepared and looked after, it lasts well, and it’s guaranteed for a year.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material and finish
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send pictures for a quote
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any details about the material
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a bath normally involves a plumber, a fitter and a tiler. Re-enamelling takes one technician and generally one day, and the bath can be used the day after. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

What we do, step by step
We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a full day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- The bath is left to cure and can typically be used the next day.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Landlord and trade work in Wincle
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Wincle use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Aftercare tips
Nothing complicated is needed:
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, particularly where water is hard, to stop limescale building up.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
