Bath Re-enamelling across Cheshire East

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Cheshire East

Cast iron and steel baths are ideal for re-enamelling, and acrylic baths can be resurfaced too. You end up with a smooth, glossy surface. We’re often asked to fix a roll-top that’s seen better days and lots of chips and rust spots, in cast iron baths, pressed steel baths and Victorian roll-tops.

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. On site, it takes the best part of a day for most jobs. The room is left tidy.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.

What you’ll pay

Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why clients in Cheshire East choose us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Normally one visit, start to finish

Getting a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Near you in Crewe

We visit homes around Queen's Park, Victoria Community Technology School and Beechwood Primary School and Nursery and the streets around them. Nearby too are South Cheshire College (0.7 miles south) and St Mary's Church (within half a mile east). The closest station to Crewe is Crewe station, roughly 1 mile south-east. Other landmarks nearby include Leighton Hospital (1.9 miles north-west) and Crewe and Nantwich (1.5 miles west). The countryside around Crewe includes Black Firs and Cranberry Bog.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath typically involves a plumber, a fitter and a tiler. Re-enamelling takes one technician and normally one day, and the bath can be used the day after.

What your quote should include

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How the colour is matched
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. There is no area surcharge for Cheshire East. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material and finish
  • How much damage there is

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Common problems we fix in Cheshire East

Previous coatings can fail too, lifting by the plughole or blistering. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • A bath in a colour that no longer suits
  • A peeling or bubbling previous coating
  • A roll-top that’s seen better days
  • Thin, worn enamel in places

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Common questions in Cheshire East

Can you change the colour of my bath?

Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and the basin and toilet can be done too.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Cheshire East.

What happens after I send pictures?

You’ll get a fixed quote back, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Does the bath have to be removed?

No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.

Are there extra charges for Cheshire East?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

How quickly can you book me in?

We’ll give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
