Bath repair in Anslow Common, done in place
Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all repaired in place, typically in a single visit. Our repair technicians work on cast iron enamel, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths, and common reasons people get in touch are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and rust by the waste and overflow.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

Common problems we fix in Anslow Common
A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and taps and wastes are tightened against the surface. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.
You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Damage beneath the taps
- A failed DIY repair that is discoloured or lifting
- Holes from dropped items
What to look for in a quote
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Who turns up on the day
- How changes to the job are handled
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
When we would advise against a repair
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:
- The material
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Access to the area
- How hard the colour is to match
Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Quotes from your pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Details of any past repairs
- Natural light rather than flash
- Where you are, by postcode
- Something in shot to show the size
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
What we do, step by step
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, tidy-up included.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Make sure the area is dry
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
How to get a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Repairing versus replacing in Anslow Common
Replacing a fitted bath typically means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair fixes just the damaged area in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why Anslow Common customers choose us
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- We leave the room as we found it
- Colour mixed on the day to match
Read our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Rinse it down after each bath
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
