Trusted bath repair in Beach

Why repair rather than replace?

A new bath costs more than the bath itself: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What you get with us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Everything repaired in place

Bath repair at your home in Beach

Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. If you’re dealing with rust by the waste and overflow and chips under the taps, we can normally put it right, on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic alike.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

How to look after the repair

Looking after the surface is easy:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted

In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath without abrasive products.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water cannot get in. Remove it before the repair.

Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, and the damage is not always spotted until later. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • A hole punched through by something heavy
  • A chip where the taps sit
  • A cracked acrylic bath
  • Chips on the rim or sides

10 questions to ask before you book

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

How it works

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a few hours, depending on the damage. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the day after.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Advice

What affects the price in Beach

Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • The material and finish
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Access to the area

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

How to get a fixed quote

You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any details about the material

Send us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Beach, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

What we can’t put right

Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:

  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

Common questions in Beach

How do I get a price for bath repair in Beach?

Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote from your photos. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.

Can you redo an old repair?

Regularly. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?

Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

In most cases. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
