About our bath repair in California
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Our repair technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and acrylic, and people most frequently call us about chips along the edge of the bath and snagging damage from a refit.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

When a repair is not the answer
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
Signs you need bath repair in California
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal will start to rust.
Clients generally contact us about:
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- A chip where the taps sit
- Chips caused by builders
What your quote should include
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether the price covers travel
- How your room will be protected
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
Should you replace it?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. Where the entire surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- One visit for most repairs
- Same prices wherever you are
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.

You’ll also find Alexandra Park (0.7 miles west), Britannia Primary School and Nursery (less than half a mile south-east) and The Old Times pub (within half a mile north-west). For rail, the closest station is Derby Road station, roughly 0.5 miles south of the centre. Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Rinse it down after each bath
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and it can start to leak underneath.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How hard the colour is to match
- Access to the area
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A photo taken from further back
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Any details about the material
If you are in California and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
The process
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
