Trusted bath repair in Coedhirwaun

Bath repair at your home in Coedhirwaun

You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Our repair technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and the jobs we see most are deep scratches in acrylic and a chip where the taps sit.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Why repair rather than replace?

Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Your questions about bath repair in Coedhirwaun

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so access behind the panel is important.

Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?

In most cases. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.

When can I have a bath again?

Most baths can be used the day after. We will tell you the exact curing time when we finish.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a few hours, depending on the damage. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

Advice

Different materials, different repairs

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.

Acrylic

Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

What a repair can’t fix

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

Signs you need bath repair in Coedhirwaun

Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else. Fittings cause damage too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Deep scratches in acrylic
  • Holes from dropped items
  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • Cracks in an acrylic bath

Questions to ask before you book

  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • How long it needs to cure
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • How the colour is matched

10 questions to ask before booking

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. There is no charge for travel to Coedhirwaun. The price comes down to:

  • How much damage there is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What the surface is made of
  • Access to the area

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Coedhirwaun. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Natural light rather than flash

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Aftercare tips

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Do not scrub with anything abrasive
  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning

Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.

Don’t leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
