Bath repair in Denstroude without the cost of replacing. Get a fixed quote from your photos, then we come to you.
- Repairs from £95
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Deep scratches in acrylic

Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Rinse it down after each bath
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
A small chip is a quick job. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so early repair saves time and money.
Bath repair in Denstroude without replacing anything
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the next day. We’re frequently asked to fix rusty patches near the plughole and a kit repair that didn’t last, across whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Do you need bath repair in Denstroude?
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, often before anyone notices. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust spots around the plughole
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- A hole punched through by something heavy

When we’d advise against a repair
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- A steel bath rusted through
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes two to three hours for most chips, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Open a window if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We will say immediately if a repair is the right fix.
Related advice
Should you replace it?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed price
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A photo taken from further back
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
