How we handle bath repair in Duloe
We’ve repaired just about every kind of bath damage: dropped-bottle chips, plughole rust, acrylic cracks and impact holes. All of it is repaired where the bath stands. Our technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are snagging damage from a refit and a kit repair that didn’t last.
We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and disposing of the old one. A repair fixes just the damaged area in one visit. Prices start from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why book with us
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Every repair guaranteed for a year

How the visit works
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you are not left guessing. Once we are there, the work takes a morning or an afternoon. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- We leave it to cure; you can generally use the bath the next day.
How to prepare
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let the surface dry out before the visit

How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Access to the area
- The material
What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Getting a price from pictures
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Natural light rather than flash
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Rinse it down after each bath
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.
