Need bath repair in Echt?

Bath repair at your home in Echt

You do not need a new bath because of a chip. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. We regularly repair roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths, and people most often call us about chips under the taps and scuffs and scratches in the surface.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Before and after: a chipped, rust-stained bath around the plughole

When a repair is not the answer

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic

Common problems we fix in Echt

Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else, with dropped shower heads close behind. Fittings cause damage too: water collects there, so chips nearby rust quickly.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Scuffs and scratches in the surface
  • Rust by the waste and overflow
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

What your quote should include

  • What aftercare is recommended
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • Who will actually do the work

How to compare quotes

Landlords, agents and businesses in Echt

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Echt use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.

Common questions in Echt

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Do you come to Echt?

We do. We send a technician to Echt for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

How do I get a price for bath repair in Echt?

Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your AB32 postcode.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.

Are you accredited?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Do you charge for travel?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What bath repair costs

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How many areas need work
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Echt. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

You can take the pictures on your phone. Ensure they show:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

Most clients in Echt get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Repair or replace: which is better?

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Our bath repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Most jobs done in one visit

What happens on the day

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
