FAQs for Eryrys

Is a bath repair permanent?

Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps it last.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

Will the price change on the day?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Do you work in Eryrys?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Eryrys from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

About our bath repair in Eryrys

Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Whether it’s a chip where the taps sit and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, we can generally put it right.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Why repair rather than replace?

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Why Eryrys clients choose us

  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Fixed prices from your photos

How the visit works

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes two to three hours for most chips for most jobs. We leave the room clean.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
  3. We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the day after.

How to prepare

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Getting a price

We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

When to call us in Eryrys

A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • Cracks in an acrylic bath
  • Chips along the edge of the bath
  • A kit repair that didn’t last
  • Scuffs and scratches in the surface

Our hiring checklist

How to look after the repair

After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:

  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.

If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath. Water under the bath can damage the floor and the ceiling below.

Landlord and trade work in Eryrys

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • The material
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How many items we do on one visit

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Upload a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your CH7 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

DIY kit or professional repair?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

Honest limits

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
