About our bath repair in Eyemouth
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the next day. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. If you’re dealing with an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and snagging damage from a refit, we can normally put it right, on cast iron enamel, acrylic and whirlpool & spa baths alike.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

Work for landlords and builders
If you manage property in Eyemouth, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we will price them together.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Should you replace it?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Our bath repair starts from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
What you get with us
- Work done at your home or business
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Rooms protected and left tidy
Read our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
DIY kit or professional repair?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
How the visit works
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. It normally takes two to three hours for most chips.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or ring us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
Advice
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Rinse it down after each bath
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
When we would advise against a repair
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Questions from Eyemouth
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed price. There’s no obligation to book.
Will the repair last?
Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
Can you redo an old repair?
Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire UK, including Eyemouth and the rest of the Scottish Borders. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will confirm dates.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
