Bath chip & crack repair in Holt, Worcestershire
Chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths for homes and businesses in Holt and across Worcestershire. Free, fixed quotes from your pictures.
- Repairs from £95
- A chip where the taps sit
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail

Should you replace it?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: they’re very heavy to remove, especially upstairs, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place. Our bath repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Bath repair in Holt without replacing anything
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day. Our technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and people most often call us about scuffs and scratches in the surface and damage beneath the taps.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

For landlords and businesses
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
What a repair cannot fix
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
- Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What your bath is made of matters
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Holt questions
Will the repair last?
Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there’s access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Tell us about it when you send pictures.
When can I have a bath again?
Usually within a day, though it depends on what we’ve done.
Which areas do you work in?
We work UK-wide, so Holt is covered. Prices don’t change with location.
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Have new chips seen to early
For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath, avoiding abrasives.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Holt. What changes the price is:
- How hard the colour is to match
- The type of damage
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material and finish
Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
How to get a fixed quote
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One picture of the whole bath
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Can I fix it myself?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
The process
We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
