How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The colour and finish to match
- The type of damage
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- One picture of the entire bath
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Natural light rather than flash
If you are in Moorslade and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
How we handle bath repair in Moorslade
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. You can generally use the bath the day after. We work on acrylic, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and people most frequently call us about a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and a hole punched through by something heavy.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

What we cannot put right
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

- A steel bath rusted through
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in a single visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
What you get with us
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Same prices wherever you are
See our full price list or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
What happens on the day
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, including clearing up.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Getting a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Advice
What we are called out for in Moorslade
A cracked acrylic bath usually wasn’t supported properly. Loose legs, no proper cradle or a floor that gives let the bath move until it cracks.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- A chip where the taps sit
- A cracked acrylic bath
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
What to look for in a quote
- If travel is included in the price
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- How to look after the finish
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
