Bath repair in Mudgley

Mudgley questions

How do I book?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.

Do you come to Mudgley?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Mudgley. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Bath repair in Mudgley without replacing anything

Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. We’re often asked to fix damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and impact holes in acrylic, on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Mudgley. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

What happens on the day

Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

When to call us in Mudgley

Rust generally starts where water sits, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • Deep scratches in acrylic
  • Damage beneath the taps
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic

Choosing a repair company

What we cannot put right

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Cast iron enamel

Should you replace it?

Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why Mudgley clients choose us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Work done at your home or business
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

Keeping it looking good

To keep it looking its best for years:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent

There’s nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners.

Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
