Need bath repair in New Bradwell?

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for New Bradwell. The price reflects:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed price

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • The material, if you know it
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Email us a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your MK13 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Bath repair in New Bradwell, done in place

Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, usually in a single visit. Common call-outs are for a kit repair that didn’t last and chips under the taps, on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

DIY kit or professional repair?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

FAQs for New Bradwell

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Northamptonshire.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?

Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so access behind the panel is important.

Is there any odour?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Generally. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

How invisible is a bath repair?

We aim for a repair you can’t easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference, and we’ll tell you what to expect.

How to look after the repair

Nothing complicated is needed:

  • Do not leave a fresh chip for long
  • Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it

Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.

Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through. Water under the bath can damage the floor and the ceiling below.

Common problems we fix in New Bradwell

Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else, with dropped shower heads close behind. Fittings cause damage too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Chips under the taps
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • A chipped rim or side
  • A cracked acrylic bath

Before you book anyone

  • What preparation is included
  • Aftercare advice
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether the price covers travel

Our hiring checklist

Should you replace it?

People frequently assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Usually it doesn’t: a proper repair gives it years more use, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

When we’d advise against a repair

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It typically takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
