How bath repair works in MK13

We’ve repaired just about every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. Each is repaired in place with a one-year guarantee. We regularly repair acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths, and common reasons people contact us are hairline or through cracks in acrylic and scratches you can feel with a fingernail.

Arrival times are agreed in advance. On site, it takes two to three hours for most chips. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the next day.

How to get a price

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

What’s near Bradville

Around Bradville, we work in homes near Christ Church, Stantonbury Campus and Campbell Park. Also close by are Halley's Comet pub (less than half a mile north-west), Stantonbury Campus (0.5 miles north-east) and Pepper Hill School (less than half a mile north). The nearest railway station is Wolverton station, roughly 1.1 miles north-west of the centre. Other landmarks nearby include Midsummer Place (1.5 miles south-east) and Badminton Museum (1.4 miles south). Green spaces nearby include Lodge Lake and Little Linford Wood.

Honest limits

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Metal that has corroded all the way through
  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • The material and finish
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How easy the damage is to reach

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Should you replace it?

Cast iron baths in particular are worth repairing: they’re very heavy to remove, especially upstairs, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place.

Questions to ask before you book

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • If travel is included in the price

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Your questions about bath repair in MK13

Will the repair show?

The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference, and we will tell you what to expect.

Is there any odour?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide, and that includes MK13. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

Can you fix rust around the plughole?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
