Bath repair in Oare

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Oare. The price reflects:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Access to the area
  • The colour and finish to match

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

How to get a fixed quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

For a price in Oare, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

About our bath repair in Oare

Chips, cracks, rust spots and small holes can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. Nothing is unplumbed, the tiles aren’t touched, and the repaired area is colour-matched so it blends in. Common call-outs are for rust spots around the plughole and deep scratches in acrylic, in cast iron enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

FAQs for Oare

Do you cover the whole of Wiltshire?

We cover the entire UK, including Oare and the rest of Wiltshire. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Are there extra charges for Oare?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Looking after it afterwards

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
  • Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent

Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.

Small chips are quick to repair. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so early repair saves time and money.

Why repair rather than replace?

If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. Where the entire surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What we do, step by step

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. Once it has cured, generally by the next day, the bath is ready to use.

How to prepare

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Our hiring checklist

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
