Bath repair in Paull, done in place
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the following day. We regularly repair roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and people most often call us about rust by the waste and overflow and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting.
You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Should you replace it?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

When we’d advise against a repair
We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so these are the limits:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, tidy-up included.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Questions from Paull
Do you work in Paull?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Paull. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.
How do I get a price for bath repair in Paull?
Repairs from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so access behind the panel is important.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The type of damage
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.
Getting a price from photos
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Details of any past repairs
- Where you are, by postcode
- What it’s made of, if you know
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.
A small chip is a quick job. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so early repair saves time and money.

What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
