What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so repair chips early.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
How we handle bath repair in Pennsylvania
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Whether it’s a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and scratches you can feel with a fingernail, we can typically put it right, on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Pennsylvania and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. A repair deals only with the damage in a single visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Pennsylvania. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why Pennsylvania customers choose us
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
See our pricing or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.
How the visit works
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Clear the area around the damage
- Have a window or extractor fan available
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Advice
What a repair can’t fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
How to care for the repair
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Rinse it down after each bath
There is nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so early repair keeps the cost down.
Your questions about bath repair in Pennsylvania
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
How long before I can use the bath?
Usually within a day, though it depends on what we have done.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Often, if there’s access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
