Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it’s level with the surrounding surface. If you are dealing with impact holes in acrylic and cracks in an acrylic bath, we can help, on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and acrylic alike.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Pinfold questions
What about rust by the waste?
Yes, very frequently. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Are you a vetted contractor?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send photos.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
What happens next?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. With a repair, it’s one visit and one price. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.
Why us?
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- One price list for the whole UK
- One visit for most repairs

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The colour and finish to match
- The material and finish
- How many items we do on one visit
We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
How to get a fixed price
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- One picture of the whole bath
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Something in shot to show the size
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
What a repair can’t fix
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
Materials we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
How to care for the repair
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
What happens on the day
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a few hours, depending on the damage, including clearing up.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can generally use the bath the day after.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
Ask for a price
