Bath repair in Rhosgoch

Bath repair in Rhosgoch without replacing anything

A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the next day. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. If you are dealing with chips caused by builders and a hole punched through by something heavy, we can help, whatever the material.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

Rusty chip next to a bath plughole, before and after repair

How to look after the repair

Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:

  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners

Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.

Repairing versus replacing in Rhosgoch

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Colour-matched on site

Do you need bath repair in Rhosgoch?

Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • A cracked acrylic bath
  • Chips caused by builders
  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • How soon you can use it again
  • What prep work is covered
  • How changes to the job are handled

Choosing a repair company

Different materials, different repairs

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

What a repair can’t fix

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel

Your questions about bath repair in Rhosgoch

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?

Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Do you come to Rhosgoch?

We do. We send a technician to Rhosgoch for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Frequently, if there’s access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

How quickly can you book me in?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many areas need work
  • Doing more than one item at once

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send photos for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

How the visit works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, including clearing up.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
