Bath chip & crack repair in Blackbridge, Isle of Anglesey
We travel to Blackbridge for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.
- Repairs from £95

When we would advise against a repair
Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Bath repair in Blackbridge without replacing anything
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. Our repair technicians work on cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and people most often call us about a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and cracks in an acrylic bath.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Blackbridge as everywhere else we work.

Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Signs you need bath repair in Blackbridge
Rust typically starts where water sits, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
The things customers usually mention when they call are:
- Holes from dropped items
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Snagging damage from a refit

Should you replace it?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Why book with us
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Everything repaired in place
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
See our pricing or bath cost comparison.
How the visit works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Related advice
Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material and finish
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.
How to get a fixed price
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
Your questions about bath repair in Blackbridge
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Frequently, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.
Is a bath repair durable?
Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes, we match coloured baths too. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send photos.
How quickly can you book me in?
We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.

Keeping it looking good
Aftercare is simple:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath.
Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so early repair saves time and money.
