Bath repair for Gadfa homes

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • How much damage there is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many items we do on one visit

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Send us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your LL69 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

How we handle bath repair in Gadfa

We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. You can normally use the bath the day after. If you are dealing with snagging damage from a refit and chips on the rim or sides, we can help, on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee.

What we’re called out for in Gadfa

Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • Snagging damage from a refit
  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
  • Holes from dropped items

What your quote should include

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Aftercare advice
  • When it can be used again
  • What preparation is included

Our hiring checklist

Gadfa: your questions answered

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

In most cases. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so we need access under the bath.

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Repairing versus replacing in Gadfa

Swapping a damaged bath for a new one usually means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Prices start from £95. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

What you get with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Colour-matched on site
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

See our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.

Preparing for the visit

  • Open a window if you can
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Landlord and trade work in Gadfa

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Gadfa as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Pressed steel enamel

Repairs by material

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
