Bath repair in Shareshill without replacing anything
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can generally bathe again the day after. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Whether it’s a chip where the taps sit and chips on the rim or sides, we can generally put it right.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Questions from Shareshill
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
In most cases. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send photos.
Do you come to Shareshill?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Shareshill and the rest of Wolverhampton. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Shareshill included. Travel is included in the price.
Can you quote from photos?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.
When can you do it?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
What we can’t put right
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
When to call us in Shareshill
A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
The things customers normally mention when they call are:
- Impact holes in acrylic
- A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting
- A chipped rim or side
- A cracked acrylic bath

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Shareshill. The price reflects:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material and finish
- Doing more than one item at once
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Something in shot to show the size
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Looking after it afterwards
It’s all simple stuff:
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
There is nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and rinse after use.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
Work for landlords and builders
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so repair chips early.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
The process
Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we are there, the work takes two to three hours for most chips. We leave the room clean.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Advice
Repair or replace in Shareshill?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.
What you get with us

- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
