Trusted bath repair in Stanhoe

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow two to three hours for most chips.

  1. First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

How we handle bath repair in Stanhoe

Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Common call-outs are for damage beneath the taps and chips along the edge of the bath, in pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Stanhoe

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

If you manage property in Stanhoe, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.

How we price bath repair

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material and finish

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your pictures

Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Natural light rather than flash

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job without visiting.

Repairing versus replacing in Stanhoe

Replacing a fitted bath normally means a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Prices start from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why book with us

  • No need to remove anything
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

When we’d advise against a repair

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • A steel bath rusted through

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Pressed steel enamel

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts

In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath without abrasive products.

Don’t leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Do you need bath repair in Stanhoe?

Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal will start to rust.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
  • Holes from dropped items

  • How your room will be protected
  • Whether they match the colour on site

10 questions to ask before booking

Questions from Stanhoe

Will it make a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Will the repair show?

On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.

Can you quote from pictures?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?

Normally. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.

Are there extra charges for Stanhoe?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

Do you cover the entire of Norfolk?

Everywhere in the UK, Stanhoe included. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?

Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so we need access under the bath.
