Bath repair in Troon without replacing anything
It pays to repair bath damage while it’s small. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. Repairing it stops the damage getting worse. We regularly repair acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel, and people most often call us about a chip where the taps sit and deep scratches in acrylic.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in Troon and across South Ayrshire.

When we would advise against a repair
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Troon. The price reflects:
- What the surface is made of
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
If you’re in Troon and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Should you replace it?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
What you get with us

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Aftercare tips
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath, avoiding abrasives.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Usually, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a photo.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there’s access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.

What happens next?

We cover the whole UK, including Troon and the rest of South Ayrshire. Just include your postcode and we’ll confirm dates.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
How do I book?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

The process
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
Ask for a price
